Obituary of Patrick Joseph Doyle

Albany -  Patrick Joseph Doyle, 62, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 18, 2018 at Albany County Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. Born, raised and educated in Port Schuyler Watervliet, he is the son of the late Francis and Marjorie (Geer) Doyle.

Pat married the love of his life, Karen Fribourg Doyle on September 29, 1979. A marriage that would span 39 years and come to bear 3 children and 6 grandchildren. He was employed as an industrial Painter for more than 40 years and was an extremely hard worker who would do anything to make sure his family had what they needed. Pat enjoyed the simple things in life, he loved to sit in the yard and listen to music with family and friends or cheer on his beloved New York Giants and New York Mets. He loved music, especially Bob Dylan and The Tom Healey Band. Pat also enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was simply walking the dogs, hunting on Piser Hill, fishing the Tomhannock Reservoir or shooting his bow. Patrick Joseph Alouicious Benedict Willie Doyle, PJ, Pat, Uncle P, Doy, Poppy or however you knew him was certainly a one of a kind man who will sorely be missed by all who knew him and loved him. Pat was extremely proud of his Irish heritage and we would encourage you to raise a glass in his memory.

In addition to his wife, Karen Fribourg Doyle; Pat is survived by his children, Michael P. Doyle, David E. (Katherine) Doyle and Colleen M. Doyle; his grandchildren, Mark Sitts III, Aleigha Doyle, Liam Doyle, Tamzin Doyle, Shaelynn Doyle and Ryleigh Doyle; his siblings, Michael V. (Alison) Doyle, Mary Frances (Robert) Williamson and Lucianne (Mike) Ryan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Pat was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Marjorie (geer) Doyle and his brother, John E. Doyle.

Calling hours for Pat will be held on Tuesday November 20^th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Parker Bros. Memorial Funeral Home, 2013 Broadway Watervliet. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Wednesday November 21^st at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands.
